Breed: Samoyed
Sex: Male
Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 5 years, 1 month old (Feb 7, 2002)
Comments: When Casper crashed he was diagnosed with chronic
kidney failure. He was put on intravenous fluids and
I was told his life expectency was very limited (they
were talking days). Fortunately for us our normal vet
looked at his test results and recognised the signs of
Addisions Disease - his tests results confirmed it.
Cassie has been on medication for almost four weeks
now and is back to his normal loving mischievous and
demanding self! There is not a day goes by that I
don't thank God he is still with us!
Breed: Gordon Setter
Sex: Female
Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 6 1/2 months old
Comments: This is Blackthorn's Yankee Jezabel. The "Yankee" is because despite a
southern address, she is a New Yorker at heart. She was born April 2001 and
diagnosed with Addison's Disease in October of the same year. She was really
not feeling well and fortunately was diagnosed quickly. After her treatment
started, she returned to her playful self. She is one of the sweetest, good
natured puppies I have ever known. Jezabel got a puppy girl just after
Christmas and has proven to be a wonderful big sister. Our big princess has
enough love to go around but she is truely Daddy's little girl. Despite all
the worry that her Addison's causes us, I still thank her everyday for the
joy she brings to our home.
Breed: Rottweiler

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 4 1/2 years old
Comments: This is Bull, my Bullyboy. Born January 6, 1995, been sick pretty much
all his life and finally diagnosed with Addison's June 1999.
He IS my honey and awaits my arrival with great anticipation. When I am home, he
is always near me. Now THAT is love.

Comments: Even with AD, Buster is still remains all puppy, usually with an incredible energy
level and love of life! He especially enjoys his morning jogs, visits to
the park, exploring the marsh, going to work with dad and any activity that
will result in a "treat." In the near future, he plans to be back hunting
pheasants and ducks and visiting his friends at doggie daycare.
