Comments: My name is Bo and I am a male golden retriever mix.
My prievious owners released me because of the cost involved with treating this desease. I am now 5 yrs. old and with my new adopted mom and dad, thanks to some wonderful golden retriever groups found on line. I am a true cyberspace dog!
Breed: Jack Russell Terrier
Sex: Male
Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 8 years old (12-27-00)
Comments: Nolan was a pound rescue where he was taken at 11 months when his previous owners decided they did not want a one-eyed dog (he lost his eye in a fight with a raccoon -- the raccoon didn't make it). He rapidly worked his way into my husband's heart and is now "Daddy's Little Man" for sure!
Nolan loves his racquetballs and loves to snuggle. He has a big brother, Rowdy (Borzoi), and a sister Penny, (chi-terrier mix) plus two cats, Boots and Butch.
Breed: Wire Fox Terrier
Sex: Male
Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 9 years old
Comments: Pepper has his own "Pepper's Page" at bockmier.com complete with "PepperCam." Funny, feisty and friendly but fierce when necessary (such as a visit from the mail carrier). A couple of crises around the holidays slowed him down a bit but he's making good progress on the current drug regimen. We look forward to learning from and sharing with the k9Addison's group.
Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog
Sex: Male
Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 1 year old (Dec 26, 00)
Comments: We adopted Gumbo in August after he was abandoned in an industrial office area. He is a Catahoula Leopard dog. They are primarily found in the southern gulf coast states. They originated from the Cajun people in Louisianna, hence the name Gumbo. He loves to play with his brothers Levi, a German Shepherd mix and Jarrett, a German Shepherd. He is very happy to feel like himself again.
Breed: Standard Poodle
Sex: Female
Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 1 year, 5 months old (Jan 6, 2001)
Comments: Bridget is everyone's friend and absolutely loves people! Her
frisbee is her favorite outside toy and she jumps in the air to catch it with abandon! In spite of her size she is actually quite dainty and can take a peek out the front room window as shown and yet not bother a thing on any of the shelves, nor leave a trace of herself on the windowsill. She is my best buddy and goes with me most everywhere.
