Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 3 years old

Comments: Sampson is 7 years old.  He was diagnosed with AD at approx. age 3 1/2, but later, we realized that he had been showing signs for some months.  We were fortunate with his diagnosis. After having our (2) regular Vets tell us they were not sure what was wrong with him, we took him to a Veterinary specialty hospital where we found a wonderful Doctor with extensive experience with small animal endocrinology.  He was very familiar with AD.  Luckily Sam did not have a life threatening crash, nor many invasive tests before we were able to start him on medication

Breed: Standard Poodle

Sex: Male

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 9 months old

Comments: Beau-Dascious is 3 years old, but began exhibiting symptoms of AD at around the age of 6 months.  We were very quick to get Beau up the Veterinary Teaching Hospital near us.  There, we received the "good" news that we had another AD dog.  Unlike his "Brother", Sampson, Beau is an Atypical Addisonian, and takes glucocorticoid medication only.  This situation could change and we monitor carefully. Beau is also hypothyroid, which we treat with daily medication.   Both dogs are silly, affectionate clowns, who enjoy lots of time out of doors and torturing one another.

Name: ~Cissi Lu~

Breed: Great Dane

Sex: Female

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 4 years and 4 months old

Comments: Prior to being diagnosed with addisons Cissie Lu had one health problem after another, for her, diagnosis has brought an end to the other health problems. This past year has been great, compared to the previous ones. She is the sweetest dog and deserves some good times!!

Breed: German Shepherd

Sex: Female

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 4 years old

Comments: Baumhaus' Sweetheart Sadie...
is just that - the sweetest, most affectionate,
and quick to learn girl you could ever hope for. 
Sadie was fortunate to be diagnosed quickly, stabilized almost overnight and has been doing great.

Name: ~Puggy Sue~

Breed: Pug

Sex: Female

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: One year old

Comments: Puggy Sue is a sweet and playful little girl who loves everyone. She shares my heart with her sister my Chi/Pug Kayla. There is not a day that I don't thank God that I have them.
