Comments: My husband and I bought this adorable cocker puppy as a wedding
gift for each other. I grew up with cockers, but had never seen one as
gorgeous as a black and tan before! He gets compliments on his unique
coloring wherever we take him. Hugo is now a little over 3, is well
stabilized, and is back to the wonderful puppy we had before he was
diagnosed. He is a true joy...

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 1 yr, 10 months old
Comments: Bosco is a big boy for a Boston Terrier, although we don't mind! He is very sweet and loveable. He loves to have his neck kissed and is mellow, but VERY protective of mom. He loves the water and lots of chew bones, loves kids and vet's office loves him!

Breed: German Shepherd x American Staffordshire Terrier

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: (April 19, 2000) 2 weeks short of her 2nd birthday
Comments: Sunshine is truly the "sunshine" of my life. Adopted from a shelter at 8 weeks old, she has been my joy and comfort.
Sunshine was at death's door when diagnosed just 2 weeks before her second
birthday. In retrospect, she had been showing symptoms on and off for most
of her life. The vet kept telling me that she "didn't feel well" as he
treated her for repeated bouts of diarrhea (her primary symptom).
Finally a trip to the emergency vet with Sunshine barely able to walk or hold
her head up, got us a correct diagnosis of Addison's disease. I carried her
into the clinic thinking that I would lose her that night. She danced out 3
days later like she hadn't a care in the world.
Now with proper medication, Sunshine is just amazing. Nobody who sees this
active, energetic pup can believe that she has a life threatening disease.
