Nikki

Breed: Standard Schnauzer

Sex: Female

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 7 years, 4 months old (Nov. '99)

Comments: Nikki was adopted at 1-1/2 years of age from a Standard Schnauzer Rescue Club. She is a great companion and loves to hike and visit family and friends. Her brother, Ranger, outweighs her by 60 lbs., but she rules the roost!!

Anna Belle
Name: ~Anna Belle~

Breed: Beagle

Sex: Female

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 5 years old

Comments: We adopted Anna Belle from our local Humane Society Animal Shelter in March of 1996 where she was brought in as a stray. She was diagnosed with Addisons in March of 1999 after a sudden serious decline in health. Now Anna Belle responds well to her monthly injection of Percorten-V and daily dose of Prednisolone. She enjoys life with our other adopted pets: Rosie the Beagle, Lucy the Basset, and three cats.

Clio
Name: ~Clio~

Breed: Australian Shepherd Mix

Sex: Female

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: Almost 2 years old

Comments: Clio was born June 5, 1998 and diagnosed AD on May 26, 2000. She is an Australian Shepherd Mix with some beagle and maybe some cocker. Her favorite activity is riding with her "dad" on his motorcycle.

Taz
Name: ~Taz~

Breed: Standard Poodle

Sex: Male

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 1 year, 8 months old (May 28, 2000)

Comments: Here's Taz at the Salton Sea. Taz thrives on adventure and the thrill of the chase. He's known as Taz the Tormentor to Fluffy (background)& our cats. To humans (the mail carrier excluded) he is a loverboy whose eyes can melt the polar ice. When he sits on my lap I just want to burst! (Husband loves him too!)

Sammy
Name: ~Sammy~

Breed: English Springer Spaniel

Sex: Female

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 5 1/2 years old

Comments: Here’s Sammy standing on her perch on the deck. She enjoys laying there keeping a look-out for squirrels and noisy birds whereupon she will run across the yard and bark at them, occasionally attempting to jump up a tree. She has a small wading pool she enjoys jumping into on hot days and a place inside at the end of the bed at night. She’s a real ‘people person’ and enjoys a lot of attention. Sammy shares the yard with our two other dogs. She is doing well on Percorten-V and Prednisone.
