Breed: German Shorthaired Pointer
Sex: Female
Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 4 years, one month
Comments: Missy loves to play frisbee, swim in our pool, and run in the fields near our house. Missy is our baby; we don't have any children. In fact, she thinks she is human (at times I do wonder). As I write this, she is trying to sit on my lap as she thinks she is a lap dog (50 pounds is a little big for a lap dog, don't you think?). We are very thankful to our vet for diagnosing Missy's illness as we don't know what we would do without our baby. In her spare time, Missy also enjoys chasing squirrels and birds (after all, she is a hunting dog).
Breed:Shih Tsu x Lhasa Apso
Sex: Male
Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 22 months old
Comments: Rocky was a very happy, active and healthy dog until his first Addisons attack. Thankfully we got it under control and he has returned to his old self. Rocky shares a home with two cats. He likes to go for walks in the park and rides in our truck. He is a big dog in a small body. He always feels the need to prove himself to the bigger dogs. He is full of love and our lives would not be the same without him. He truly is our baby.
Breed: Standard Poodle
Sex: Male
Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 17 months old
Comments: Tritt is a happy boy and a true "gentleman"! He has his own two personal playmates: Trace is his Toy Poodle and Kali Anne is his "ever-pesky" tiny Yorkie. He gently roughhouses with these "fly-weights" every day, enjoying every minute of it. He was diagnosed with Addison's at 17 months old and is now 5 1/2. We feel fortunate to be owned by him, as every day he teaches us the true meanings of love, loyalty and dignity.
Breed: Bearded Collie
Sex: Male
Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 6 years, 1 month old
Comments: Danny is now over 9yrs old. He looks forward each week to Obedience Club. He is also in a Demonstration Team where he is called the flying carpet because of his flying coat (see photo). We are blessed to have him still with us as he is such a treasured member of our family.
Breed: Standard Poodle
Sex: Female
Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 1 1/2 years old
Comments: I have always called Racey my "No Fear" baby. She charges headstrong into any situation without worrying about the consequences. She is not hyper... just sure. Her life revolves around me (her mother), and a tennis ball. Show her a tennis ball and you are committed to throwing it as long as you can hang in there. She would retrieve 24 hours a day if she could. her best friend is Shadow, also a standard poodle. I have the best of both worlds with my girls! Racey is my protector and retriever. Shadow is my clown and hunter (she treed a squirrel for 2 hours during blinding rain)!
